Aaannndd...Cue the World's Smallest Violin

Wait...that's not a violin! Actually, I'm just too lazy to search through to emoticons to see if there is one with a violin...or a viola...or whatever . Anyhow, what's all this nonsense about stringed instruments? Oh nothing, I'm just having a "poor me" day. My computer crashed today. Again. Two days after I started using it. Oh, but here's the kicker: This laptop was a replacement for a faulty one I bought in April. Hmm...looks like this one is faulty too. I told them not to send me the same model! The first time I talked to customer services, back in April, I asked to just return the laptop for my money back. But oh no, they assured me that with just a few driver updates my computer would be running fine. Nope, sorry. Strike one. So when I called technical services again, they sent out a computer tech to replace my motherboard, hard drive, and CPU fan. Four days later, CRASH! Strike two. So I called back again and said, "Look, you've done all you can do, just give me back my money." No no, we'll give you a brand spankin' new computer, and then all your problems will go away. Well, I set it up and got it usable three days ago, and it crashed today. *sigh* Strike three...you're out. When I called tech services, they tried to update my drivers. But guess what, I already had updated them. I've run that route before. So they just turned off all my startup services and all of the non-Widows services. Thanks tech guys, because I totally never need to use photoshop or open PDFs. But I know how to google, so I did a little bit of digging and found out that the company is facing several lawsuits for selling faulty products, in particular, the laptop model that I'm using. Huh, imagine that! I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that my laptop will work from now on, but somehow I doubt it. So IF it crashes again I'm hoping I can convince them to give me back my money, at least in store credit. Because if they don't, I figure the threat of ANOTHER law suit might work. I don't really intend to sue anybody, that's really not my thing . But if they call my bluff, I'm willing to follow through. And while I figure they probably don't want to give me back my money because all of the money they've put into trying to fix this computer, I also figure that it cost a lot more to deal with a lawsuit than to just refund me.

*sigh* You know what would make me feel better? Some wonderful features! And extra features today, because I need it.
