My last journal back in June claimed that I would be gone for 2 weeks. Whoops. 
Anyhow, it looks like I have some news to report since I last update. First and most importantly, I now have a job!
Since last September, I have been working in a photo studio as a portrait photographer. It's pretty awesome. 
In other news, my photography business, Sarah Mannino Photography, ended 2012 in the black! I finally paid off the loans for my start-up costs and have begun making a profit. Yay! 
So that is my humble news. I hope the last 8 months have been just as exciting for you!

The Results Are In
First of all, I want to give a big thank-you to everyone who voted in my recent poll! :hug: In case you missed it, I put up a poll about a month ago to help me figure out which type of photography I should pursue next. The categories were: abstract, architecture, birds, flowers, insects, landscapes, macro, and still life. The votes were all across the board, but at the time that I closed the poll, the clear winner was macro with 12 votes. Second place was tied between birds and flowers, with 7 votes each, and third place was also a tie between abstract and landscapes with 6 votes each. Based on these results, I plan to focus more on my macro
