Identity

As I was browsing the gallery, this photo caught my eye. As a fan of abstract art, I see this photo from a different point of view. I see it as an abstract piece of photographic art. My first impression was one of curiousity. I was immediately attracted by the green and white color patterns and the patterns created by the flowers and stems that seem to frame the photo. To me, the focal point is the green color. The combination of out-of-focus and in focus details create very interesting and unique patterns which remind me of lace. The overall feel of the photo is one of tranquility and peace. I have no idea what the photographer was going for when taking this photo so cannot judge whether the goal was accomplished, but I think this is a wonderful photo and very pleasing to the eye.
